Key
West, FL November 19th,
2005 -As the thunder
and crowds roll away
from Key West, Fountain
stands tall with two
world championships
and the top three rankings
in the world for Super
Vee during the 25th
annual SBIP/APBA/UIM
world championships.
The week
was filled with adrenaline
and horsepower as nearly
70 of the world's fastest
offshore raceboats converged
on Key West for a shot
at the title of world
champion. In the premier
class of Super Vee,
Fountain again proved
that their domination
is no accident with
The Rodriguez Group,
Wazzup II, and Rio Roses
teams claiming the first,
second, and third place
rankings respectively.
The Rodriguez Group
of Michelle Karcenti
and Serge Allegre are
happy with their new
42' Fountain as it carried
them to their third
world championship in
as many years, while
Wazzup II and Rio Roses
enjoy the performance
of their tried and true
38' Fountains.
Interestingly
enough, all of the top
three boats in the world
were at one time during
the season driven by
David Knight as the
factory prepared boat
#15. "Fountain
is proud of the fact
that we support our
race teams to the point
of providing them with
proven designs and setups
that consistently carry
them to victory lane.
This philosophy, coupled
with our open-door approach
to test and tune afford
our teams access to
the best resources in
the world for dialing
their boats in for race
day. All of this knowledge
and firepower makes
it a very smart decision
to race in a Fountain",
said David Knight, Executive
Vice President of Fountain.
Congratulations are
also in store for the
Rio Roses Fountain factory
team that captured the
world championship with
the new 46' race canopy
and a pair of prototype
Mercury 1200 horsepower
engines exclusively
provided to Fountain.
"This
is an excellent example
of how the pride and
determination of the
Fountain employees pays
off for Fountain customers,
both on and off the
race course. The new
hull designs Fountain
tested this season will
dramatically improve
the designs of our everyday
production boats, thus
making everybody a winner.
We will be offering
a $25,000 contingency
prize to the team who
captures the 2006 SBIP
National Championship
for Fountain."
said Reggie Fountain,
Chairman and CEO. It
looks like the stage
is already set for an
exciting season beginning
in the spring.
