The Fountain Worldwide racing program has mounted their attack on P-1 from their Poole England distributor 1st 4 Boat Sales, also serving as race team headquarters.
Early domination of the P-1 series has done much to set the tone for an impressive showdown in Cowes, England on August 24-26th at the Grand Prix of Britain. As one might expect, such excitement has also sparked a tremendous interest in all Fountain product lines. “With recent sales pouring in from Finland, England Greece and the Middle East, it is evident that our message is reaching the buyers- To be the best, you have to buy the best”, commented Louise Martino, Vice President of Fountain Worldwide. This surge in interest was also echoed (after the victory in Germany) in the post race comments made by the press, stating that “if you are in the market for a boat, Fountain has to be the only choice”.
In many forms of racing, manufacturers use the race course, not only as a means of product promotion, but also as a test bed for product development. Fountain realizes the importance of this type of R & D; however, they have always recognized the impact on consumer demand based upon the performance of a boat in competition. For this reason, Fountain employs one of the most comprehensive full-scale testing programs in the industry. Every boat (race type or production model) that Fountain builds at their NC-based factory is thoroughly water tested in real world conditions. Reggie Fountain himself tests, tweaks, tunes, and torques every boat with his name on it. Who else can say that about their boat?
